I run Sparx Innovations, near Barnsley. Good to meet you.

Before this I spent eleven years as a software developer in financial services. Building systems and keeping them running was the day job.

Since 2022 I’ve also run an Etsy shop of my own, selling 3D-printed miniatures with a friend. It taught me what the business side does to the time you’d rather spend on the work: the same afternoon of photographing, typing and uploading, for every single model. So I built the tools to do it for us. Here’s everything I built for it.

Building those to make my own life easier made something obvious. Everyone running a small business hits the same wall — the repeated jobs that don’t need you but wait for you — and most people don’t have the technical side to do anything about it. That bit I can do. It’s why Sparx exists: so you can make a living doing the work you’re good at, and I’ll take care of the machinery round it.
